Hang Your Heart Tut
This can be done in psp7 or 8
You will need the gold glitter texture, a
dark gradient
a heart shape. teardrop shape and
psp gold braid tube.
Open up a new image 600x600
Transparent background
Save your image as a psp image and
remember to save often as you work on it!!
Add new layer
Open your Gold Glitter in PSP
Set both your top and bottem color with
the gold gradient
Open your shapes and select the long heart.
Antialias the only box checked.
Pull your heart shape on your canvas..The
size really doesn't
make a difference. Just make it fill the
middle of your transparent canvas.
Leaving room on the top and bottem for your
braid trim.
Add new layer
Change your color boxes to
a dark gradient of your choice.
I used TEOM_64
angle 45
BE sure your on the new layer.
Draw a second heart over the gold one.
We want the edges to show up as the gold
trim.
You can use your deformation tool
to change the size a little;
You want a nice narrow edge.
To smoothe the linear look of the gradient
use the Smudge brush Round size 31
and gently made small circles to take
away the line look and to give it a more
velvety texture.
Merge visable layers. WE just want the hearts
merged.
Add new layer..This will be the highlight
With your paintbrush on round-size 10
draw some comma shaped marks on each
side of the heart
Go to Effects-Blur-Gaussian Blue size 20 and click OK
Add new layer.
Change your style and Texture color boxes
back to the gold
Click on your air brush.
Select Round-Size 59 Hardness 50
Opacity 8 Step 18 and Density 60
Lightly spray, hit or miss, on the edges
of the green heart
Merge all visable layers
Add new layer
With your shape tools
and gold glitter in both your
color boxes draw the following shapes
each on a seperate layer
The oval shape is the circle pulled out longer.
Now we will move them under the heart and
line them up--
Move the teardrop to the layer under the
heart to hid
the tip of the tear. The rest will line
up nicely on top
of each other. When you have it placed like
you like it..
Merge visable layers.
Add a new layer
open your tubes. Select the gold braid
Size 20 Step 1
draw 5 or 6 tassles on the bottem
and hanging strings on the top--
You can let them go off the top
or draw them in a loop to hang..
Pull this tube layer under the merged layer
Merge all Visable
Hangers looped
Now the FUN begins--
You can decorate it how
ever it pleases you..
Add new layer
I used the paintbrush
With the gold glitter in the style box
size 4-hardness 75
Opacity 49 Step 25-Density 100
and drew some lines and flowers.
I also used the paint
brush and hi lighted the
gold tube and the gold
around the heart
When you have it as you want it you
and decide to add a drop shadow or not
Merge Visable
Copy
Click on your PSP destop and paste as
a new layer. This will take away all
the excess background.
If you want to make it into a tube
you can export it as a psp tube while it
still
has the transparent background.
Merge all layers and save as a jpeg.
This is one done with a rose tube
This one I added a tube of a face
and some scollops made with the pen and
gold glitter
Here is one I made using a pink gradient
and trimmed with tubes and added my
name for a sig tag...
