Looking at my example you
can see  how you curve your lines

make the middle one in an ellipse

These shapes and lines don't have to be perfect.

Make your candy cane shape--or
open the one I offered for download.
I have it red to see it easier--you need to
change the color to White.
Convert Object to Image
Paintbrush  Size 8
Color Hex#C40000(red)
Paint in your stripes,
be sure to curve them
down and around the cane
as in my example.
Paintbrush  Size 2
Hex#C40000 (red)
Draw thin lines
following the curve of the
wider ones. I like to put
2 or three on the candy canes. You
can just put one. You can
also use a thin Green line here.
 To Shade the Candy Cane

Airbrush  Size 20
Color Hex # 150185(Dk blue)
Soft Edge 65  Transparency 0
Pull the brush along the
left side of the cane and
under the hook. To darken
under the hook pull the
brush tool over it 2-3 more
times.
Paintbrush  Size 6
Color White
Soft  Edge 50
Transparency 50
Draw a white line on the right
edge and on the top edge of the hook.

You should be ready to
use your candy in your Christmas
projects. I save all mine to my
Easy Palette.

Now you might want to try making
candy cane text. A fat font
works best. I choose a font
called  IHOP  and I have it
for download at the top of this
tutorial. You make the letters
with the same settings as the candy cane.
Here are a few samples using
different colors and paint
shapes on your candy.

Happy Holidays!!
And Have Fun with
this Sweet Treat!!

I hope you have enjoyed this tutorial and I have made
the steps clear. If you have any questions please contact me.
